Learnings from my manager
Bold Communication: Always expressing my thoughts clearly and professionally, keeping emotions in a perfect check to deliver constructive feedback.
Conflict Management: Handling unpleasant relationships at work with professionalism and grace and making decisions based on organizational requirements and not letting personal biases about co-workers affect the outcomes of a collaboration.
Principled Decision-Making: Following the instincts of what is right instead of rigidly adhering to rules; understanding that rules should facilitate good decisions, not hinder them.
Calm and Clear Thinking: Approaching situations with a composed and clear mind.
Recognition: Appreciating the efforts of others when they do something right, no matter how small.
Technical Passion: Always pursuing meaningful technical challenges for the right reasons, ensuring the approaches are backed by logic and the conclusions are data-driven and unbiased — never settling for any unconvincing work or publishing just for the sake of it.
Time Management: Effectively juggling multiple tasks throughout the day. But I still wonder if I could ever reach his level of mastery at this!
Personal Values: Never compromising on our core values, even under pressure. Having worked with good leaders, I am fortunate to have not faced this challenge much, but I will strive to always uphold my values.
